Buff Clucks ad: Give Her Mealworms If You Want Her Yelling

My first flock was spoiled rotten, and it showed. Mealworms got me a hen yelling at my back door. Lock in free WormStop for life. She'd walk right past a full red feeder to reach me. Then she'd peck at my boots until I paid up. I thought that was love, but it was a habit I built. And it wasn't the only habit in my coop. Leftovers got me a run that stank by noon. Half of it sat in the sun, and nobody touched it. Plain pellets got me a beige scoop, every single time. The girls looked at it like I'd served them cardboard. Scratch all day got me the pickiest eaters on our road. One crested hen just stared at the trough, unimpressed. Fancy snacks got me feed bills that looked like rent. The kids hand-fed them from a bowl like little queens. One night I flipped through my old snapshots of the flock. Every habit I loved had a cost I never noticed. So I flipped the whole list around, one line at a time. What if the good stuff went into the feed itself? Want the fun stuff in her feed? Red pepper flakes. Little flecks of red show up all through the scoop. Want her feed smelling like Sunday dinner? Rosemary does that. Want sunshine in the scoop? Calendula. That's the yellow. Want it seasoned like your own cooking? Garlic and oregano. Want a scoop worth a photo? Lavender buds, purple and pretty. Sure, I could buy a jar of each and mix my own. I stood in the spice aisle and did the math. Seven jars, a measuring spoon, and a whole lot of chopping. That's a brand new chore, and I had plenty already. So I did what I now tell every new chicken keeper. I got one bag of Buff Clucks Herb Supplement. All seven herbs are in it, basil too, already mixed. One bag goes into a new sack of feed. I mix it through once, and that's the whole job. No chopping, no measuring, and no more snack runs. The good stuff lives in her feed now, not my pocket.
