Smart Cushion for sitting pain ad: What nobody explains

A quiet afternoon outside. Sunglasses on, leaned back, not doing much of anything. To most people looking at a photo like this, that's the whole story. Someone relaxing. Wheelchair users tend to see something else in it too. They see everything that happened before the photo was taken. The transfers. The adjustments. The small positioning decisions most people never have to think about, and that take real time and effort to get right. And they see something else, something that doesn't show up in any photo at all. What's actually happening underneath, the entire time someone is sitting still like this. Some wheelchair users can shift their own weight throughout the day, a lean here, a push up there, enough to keep blood moving to the areas carrying the most pressure. Others can't, not fully, and depend on whatever they're sitting on to do that work instead. Either way, it's the same kind of risk. Pressure that sits in one place too long doesn't announce itself. You don't feel it happening. By the time you do, it's often already further along than it looks. That's the part a quiet, ordinary photo like this one will never show you. And it's the part most wheelchair users have already thought about, longer and more seriously than almost anyone else. There's a clear explanation of why this happens so quickly, and what's actually going on underneath the surface long before anyone can see it. It's a real read, not a quick scroll, but if you've ever sat with this exact question yourself, it's worth the few minutes. 🌿
