Mohair Velvet is here. It feels like sitting on one of those giant teddy bears you get at the fair, except it’s all natural. Woven in Belgium from Angora goat hair sheared on a family farm in the eastern cape of South Africa. 99% of sofa companies wouldn't dream of selling it. It’s really expensive…and the 1% that do will be selling it to, well, the 1%. We are not them. We think exceptional taste shouldn't require an exceptional budget. So we don't add a margin to our fabrics. If it costs us £50 more, you pay £50 more. Exactly the same mohair, on somebody else's sofa, costs nearly six times what it costs on ours (we’ve checked). Yes, it’s our most expensive fabric. Yes, it took an age to get right. Yes, it’s a bit of an experiment. But it also happens to be the nicest thing our team have laid their hineys on.
