Baleen Jewelry ad: Shop best sellers, handmade in the USA.

From a kitchen table in Seattle to a studio of our own, Baleen pieces are still made by a small team in the city where it started. Before there was a shop, there was a kitchen table, a few tools and a lot of trial and error. We started in 2013 because we wanted handmade jewelry that didn’t cost a fortune and that we’d actually wear every day, and we figured out the rest as we went. In the early days that meant making everything ourselves, one piece at a time, and paying attention to what people actually wore. We didn’t have a perfect plan, only a small team, a workbench and a growing number of people who seemed to like what we were making. We opened our shop in Ballard in 2015 with a studio attached, then moved into a bigger studio in 2018 so we could keep making pieces ourselves. A lot of our jewelry still starts out as a single piece of wire that someone on our team bends into shape by hand. We’re incredibly proud of how far this idea has come, and even more grateful to everyone who helped carry it here ✨
