I've bought my man SO many gifts... But he's NEVER loved one this much... 😳 I almost didn't give him his anniversary present. Not because it was expensive. But because I was genuinely a little embarrassed about what I'd bought him. πŸ˜‚ And after seeing his reaction, I don't think I'll ever go back to buying him ordinary presents again. Let me explain. We've been together for years. Long enough that I know his favourite takeaway, the exact face he pulls when he's annoyed, and what he's about to say before he even opens his mouth. But there's one thing I've never quite mastered. Buying him presents. At the beginning, it was so easy. I'd see something ridiculous in a shop and immediately think of him. Little surprises. Inside jokes. Things that probably meant nothing to anyone else. And I absolutely LOVED watching him open them. These days? It's a completely different story. "What do you want for your birthday?" "Nothing." "Seriously?" "Just get me whatever." WHATEVER?! 😭 So I'd buy the usual. Aftershave. Trainers. Another jumper. He'd open it, give me a kiss, tell me he loved it. And that would be that. Another present ticked off the list. Don't get me wrong. He always appreciated them. But I missed that look on his face. You know the one. When you've bought someone something they genuinely weren't expecting. That split second where they're confused, then surprised, then suddenly grinning like an idiot. THAT was the reaction I wanted. So with our anniversary coming up, I made myself a promise. No aftershave. No clothes. Nothing practical. I wanted to find something that would completely catch him off guard. Something he'd never think to ask for. Something that would make him look at me and say: "Where on earth did you find this?" I spent ages searching. And honestly, I was about to give up. Until I came across this little red box. At first, I laughed. Then I looked a bit closer. And laughed again. Because it was definitely NOT the sort of present I usually buy my man. I could already picture his face. The confusion. The raised eyebrows. The inevitable question. "Are you actually serious?" I went back and forth for about twenty minutes before ordering it. Then immediately wondered if I'd made a terrible decision. What if he thought I'd completely lost my mind? When it arrived, I opened the parcel and stared at this tiny little box. It looked so innocent sitting there. Which made me laugh even more, knowing what was inside. I nearly ordered him some aftershave as a backup. But then I remembered why I'd bought it in the first place. I wanted to surprise him. And whatever happened, he definitely wasn't going to see this coming. So I wrapped it. Tucked it away. And waited. Our anniversary finally came around. We'd had a lovely dinner and were sitting on the sofa when I handed him his present. He looked at the wrapping. Then at me. "That's it?" "Excuse me?!" "It's tiny!" "JUST OPEN IT!" πŸ˜‚ He tore the paper off. Looked at the little red box. Read the front. Then looked at me. And burst out laughing. "YOU bought me THIS?!" I was already going bright red. "Yes. And we're playing it tonight." He gave me the cheekiest grin. "You're going to regret this." Now, there's something you should know about my man. He's RIDICULOUSLY competitive. Unfortunately for him... So am I. We can't even play Monopoly without one of us accusing the other of cheating. So when he realised his present involved challenges, drinking and a few rather questionable decisions... Well. Let's just say things got interesting. πŸ˜‚ We poured ourselves a drink, shuffled the cards and got comfortable. He picked the first one. "Arm wrestle. Loser downs their drink." He looked at me. I looked at him. "Seriously?" "Scared?" "Of YOU? Please." Thirty seconds later, we're sitting opposite each other at the kitchen table like we're competing in the Olympics. "READY?" "THREE... TWO... ONE!" I lasted about four seconds. FOUR. He was absolutely delighted with himself. "TOO EASY!" I downed my drink while he sat there celebrating like he'd won the World Cup. "Right. Pick another one, big man." πŸ™„ Then came the next card. 3, 2, 1. "Missionary or Doggy?" He started grinning. "Oh, I KNOW this one." "Do you now?" "Easy." We counted down together. "THREE... TWO... ONE!" "DOGGY!" he shouted. "MISSIONARY!" I shouted back. I stared at him. He stared at me. "WHAT?!" I absolutely LOST IT. πŸ˜‚ "You were supposed to guess MY answer, you idiot!" "I KNOW! Since when is it missionary?!" "Clearly you don't know me as well as you thought!" And just like that, Mr Know-It-All had to take another drink. Which obviously made me even more unbearable. "Go on then, babe. Thought you knew everything about me?" 😏 Then I picked up the next card. "Drink If... You'd Have A Threesome." I picked up my glass. He froze. "EXCUSE ME?!" I started laughing before I'd even taken a sip. "What?!" "YOU WOULD?!" "It's a hypothetical question!" "With WHO?!" "CALM DOWN, IT'S A CARD!" πŸ˜‚ He was shaking his head, laughing. "All these years and I'm only finding this out NOW?" And honestly, that was half the fun. We weren't sitting there having some awkward serious conversation. We were winding each other up. Finding things out. Trying to catch each other out. And neither of us wanted to be the one who backed down first. Then he picked another card. Looked at it. Smiled. And slowly turned it towards me. "Sloppy wet kisses." I raised an eyebrow. "Well, go on then." He laughed. "You're actually enjoying this, aren't you?" "Sixty seconds. Or drink." He put his glass down. "Definitely not drinking for this one." I'll leave the next minute to your imagination. 😏 And that's what made the whole thing so ridiculously entertaining. One minute we're arm wrestling at the kitchen table. The next, we're discovering things about each other we'd never thought to ask. Then suddenly we're faced with something a little cheekier. You genuinely have NO idea what you're going to pull next. And somehow, everything becomes a competition. Who knows their partner better? Who can win the mini games? Who's going to chicken out? And, most importantly... Who's actually the bigger freak? 😈 By the end of the night, my cheeks hurt from laughing. And my man was STILL insisting he'd won. Which, for the record, is absolutely not true. The following morning, he brought up his present again. And later that week, he asked: "When are we getting that little red box out again?" I couldn't stop smiling. Because I genuinely couldn't remember the last time he'd been that excited about an anniversary present. And the funniest thing? It wasn't even really just a present for him. It was something we could both enjoy. Again and again. So what was inside that mysterious little red box? It's called Freak or Drink: Couple Edition. 😈 The world's naughtiest couples' drinking game. 115 cards, four categories and 10 mini games. You shuffle, pick and play. One minute you're battling it out in a mini game. The next, you're revealing something your partner never knew. And then suddenly you're faced with a naughty 60-second dare. Do it or take a drink. πŸ’¦ But here's the clever part. Even if you're brave enough to do EVERY dare, the Drink If, Never Have I Ever and 3, 2, 1 cards can still make you drink. So being the bigger freak doesn't necessarily mean you're getting away sober. πŸ˜‚ It's silly, competitive, unpredictable and just naughty enough to make an ordinary night in feel anything but ordinary. You don't need to be the world's freakiest couple. You just need to be up for a laugh and a little friendly competition. So whether it's his birthday, your anniversary or you simply fancy surprising your man for absolutely no reason... Maybe skip the predictable presents this time. Because I thought I'd bought him a little red box. Turns out, I'd bought us one of the funniest, cheekiest nights we've had together. And apparently, a competition we're STILL arguing about who won. πŸ˜‚ Who knew a little red box could cause so much trouble? 😈
