Geckopia ad: The mold finally DISAPPEARED 😱

So I've been dealing with mold on my foam backgrounds for like 2 years now. Tried everything, better ventilation, less misting, anti-fungal sprays, you name it. Nothing worked long term. Last month I was browsing and some dude mentioned carbonized cork in a comment thread. I was skeptical because I'd used regular cork bark before and it also got moldy. But apparently carbonized cork is different? It's heat-treated or something, so the structure changes and mold can't grow on it. Decided to try it because f**k it, I was going to tear down and restart anyway. It's been a month and zero mold. Not a single spot. My humidity is still at 80% and everything is perfect. The application was stupidly easy too. Just silicone and press. Took maybe 24- 47 hrs to cure for my 18x18x24. My crestie seems to like climbing on it more than the foam too. The texture is way better. Only downside is it's more expensive upfront ($50 for a 21oz chunk vs like $20 for foam sheet). But I'm not replacing it every 3 months so whatever. Anyway, if you're dealing with mold issues, try this. Wish someone had told me 2 years ago lol. Psst.. Yes I know about drainage layers lol. I have all that. The mold was specifically on the background, not substrate issues. I got it from here👇 thegeckopia.com/carbonizedcork
