Today my 6-year-old son asked me about some friends from the past. For a second… I froze. I didn’t know what to say. But then I chose honesty. I told him the truth in a way his little heart could understand — and he did. Completely. His response surprised me. The way he processed it, the peace in his attitude… he is wise beyond his years. And in the meantime, he’s already building himself into a health-conscious individual. He walks on the treadmill, goes on runs with me, and actually chooses to work out. At six years old. The activities you choose right now tell me everything I need to know about the man you’re becoming — responsible, disciplined, independent. Son, I know one day you will build extraordinary friendships. And I know, without a doubt, that your kind and loving heart will always be reciprocated. You are growing into a strong, intentional young man… and I am beyond proud to be your dad. #prouddad #youmakemeproud #proudmoment #healthykid Also thanks to our friends from @deerrun_official for the walking pad because he's even getting his daily steps in! 👏🏼 #deerrun Comment "deerrun" for the link to the treadmill!
