The Sleep Co® ad: Stop: Read This Before You Place An Order

We must start with an admission: we do not house the machinery required to vacuum-pack our sofa beds, fold them flat, or ship them in sections in 24 hours. We deliberately banned that equipment from our workshop floor. Don't get us wrong, boxed sofa beds were a serious breakthrough. They navigate tight hallways, negotiate steep staircases, and clear virtually any doorway. They let a sofa be hauled in the back of third-party courier vans and dumped on your doorstep without a driver ever setting foot inside your home. But that level of convenience carries a hidden cost. To be squeezed into a box, the mattress must be shaved down to a thin, collapsible pad. That is precisely why sofa beds earned their bad name: flimsy 6cm foam mats that sag over time. Guests end up pressed against the steel cross-bar. It feels like lying on rocks. We take the opposite approach in our British workshop. Inside every frame, we anchor a real pocket sprung mattress crafted in our own mattress factory, mounted on a genuine Belgian Sedac action that unfolds in one motion. Only then do we hand-upholster the sofa around it, in your choice of 84 fabrics. And because a real sofa bed cannot be crammed into a box, we dispatch a dedicated team of professional handlers who deliver and assemble it in your room of choice. If you need a sofa bed at your door tomorrow and want the speed of a boxed flat-pack, we sincerely apologise, our workshop cannot help you. But if you can wait for a proper bed inside your sofa, built to order in your chosen fabric, with a 90-night trial and a 15-year guarantee, we are ready to start building yours.
