Home Craftology Premium Diamond Paintings ad: Diamond Painting For Every Grandkid

Four years ago a back operation took most of my walking. I went from busy every minute of the day to watching the clock. I'd always been the one doing things. Cooking for everyone, minding the grandkids, out in the garden by seven. Then suddenly I lived in a recliner, and the afternoons were very, very long. TV got old fast. I can't hold a book up for long. Jigsaws kept sliding off my tray. Then my granddaughter came over with a diamond painting she'd started and asked if I'd help her finish it. I didn't think I'd manage. My hands aren't what they were. But it turned out to be the perfect thing to do from a chair. A lap tray, a little pen, a pot of wax. Dip, pick, press. Nothing to stand up for, nothing to spill. Hers was a cheap one, and it fought us the whole way. The canvas kept curling up off the tray and the glue had gone dry in one corner. When I wanted my own, she told me where to get the good ones. Mine came from Home Craftology. The canvas is thick and lies flat on my tray, the glue stays sticky right to the last corner, and every colour comes in its own numbered bag, which matters when you can't get up to go looking for things. I've made one for every grandkid now. Seven of them, and they each pick their own picture. Sam, number four, wanted a dinosaur. When it arrived he sent me a text: "NANA DID YOU MAKE THIS??" I've kept it. I can't do most of what I used to. But I can still make something with my own hands that someone I love will hang on their wall. Some days that's everything. If someone you love is stuck in a chair right now, this might be the kindest thing you could send them. Home Craftology has 25% off their kits at the moment.
