Diffusing is where the volume lives 🌀 This week on Curl Talk, @ [Mia’s handle] answers the question her 2C and 3A followers keep asking: what’s your favourite diffuser, and how do you actually use it? The tissue test 🧻 Lay a tissue on top of your diffuser and turn it on. If it goes flying, that airflow is blasting your curls apart, and that’s where frizz comes from. Dry to the root 💨 Once your products are in, work your way around your whole head until it’s fully dry, roots included. Leave the roots damp and they’ll dry flat. Meet the cast 🫡 Fully dry curls with gel will feel a little crunchy. That’s the cast, and it’s doing its job, locking your curl shape in place while it sets. Don’t panic. Break it up ✨ Scrunch upwards to break the cast, then take your fingertips to the roots and gently shake. Make sure no crunch is left at the roots and voilà, soft, defined, fluffy curls.
